BlackSox.TV was started as a graduate thesis project in February of 2009 by Peter Marra, whose professional career extends nearly 15 years as a web developer and media producer with national experience. Marra’s professional career began as an associate producer for Florida State University’s “Seminole Productions,” where he was the lead researcher, interviewer, and writer for a one-hour documentary entitled “Florida State’s Greatest Defensive Backs.” It goes without saying, the sports history bug had bitten.

He continued his career in broadcast television production at ESPN and CNN before moving into interactive media full-time with Yahoo! Inc. in 1999. In 2001, Marra began freelancing as a web developer and multimedia producer, overseeing the production of dozens of web sites, several television commercials, corporate and marketing videos, and more. His creative work as a writer, producer, editor, and camerman has been featured on networks including PBS and The History Channel.

Peter received his Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Television at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
